BPS Summer Enrichment 2025

BPS Summer Enrichment 2025

Who is eligible to register for a camp?

All Brevard County students are welcome to register for a camp as long as they fall within the grade level range specified for that camp.  This includes public school, private school, charter school, and home education students.  Each camp has a range of eligible grade levels.  All camps use the current grade level the student is enrolled in for the 24-25 school year.

How long is the student day at camp?

Elementary Grades K-6 camps will begin at 7:30 am and students will be dismissed at 1:30 pm.

Secondary Grades 7-11 camps will begin at 8:30 am and students will be dismissed at 3:30 pm.

What schools will host camps?

When those locations are released, you will see them in the "Camps and Locations" tab at the top of the event page.

What camps are available for students?
When those camp titles and descriptions are released, you will see them in the "Camps and Locations" tab at the top of the event page.

Will students receive any meals?

Select sites will provide students with breakfast and lunch each day of the camp.  When registering students for camps, the camp will specify whether it will provide meals or not.  Students are welcome to bring their own lunches, water bottles, and snacks as well, even if the site provides meals.  If the site does not provide meals, the students MUST bring their own meals each day of the camp.

What are the costs for the families with students registered in a camp?

There are no costs for any student or family when registered for any Summer Enrichment camp.  We are providing these opportunities for all students completely free of charge.

What materials or supplies does my child need to bring to the class?

Most camps will not need students to bring any materials at all.  Some camps may be outside and sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc may want to be brought with them.  All students should bring a water bottle with them for hydration.

Do the normal school rules apply during the summer?

Yes, students should adhere to the BPS Code of Student Conduct.

Will there be transportation provided for my child?

Select sites will have proximity busing in each region of the county based around the area of the school where the camp is held.  Any BPS student registered for a camp at those select sites will be able to board any bus going to that school for Summer Enrichment as long as they arrive at a bus stop on time.  Each region has a bus schedule page on this site with pickup locations and times for each school with proximity busing.  Please visit the transportation pages on this site for information about obtaining a bus pass and procedures for riding the bus.  Please check frequently as we update the bus schedules.

When can I register my child for camps?
The registration portion of this site will be live on May 5th at 6:00 pm and will close on May 19th.  During this time, you will be able to find the camp(s) for your child and register them by adding the camp to their schedule.  Once you have added a camp to their schedule all other camps occuring during that week will be unavailable for your child.  If you would like to register your child for a different camp, you will need to first remove the camp from their schedule to allow registration for a camp at the same time.
What happens if the camp is full and my child is on the waitlist?

When a camp has reached registration capacity, we will close the registration option to prevent more students from signing up.  You have the option to register your child for the waitlist, but there is no guarantee they will be placed in that camp.  If your child stays on the waitlist, you will not be able to register that child for any other camp during that week.  We suggest finding another exciting opportunity during the same time frame as the camp that has been closed and not staying on the waitlist.

How will I know if my child was selected for the camp I registered them for?

All camps will be filled as students register in the order they signed up.  The number of students allowed will vary based on the camp structure and content.  Children will only be allowed to register for ONE camp during a specified week.  Students will be able to register for a maximum of four camps, one per week, depending on their duration.  If a student is registering for a camp that has a two-week duration, all camps during those two weeks will be unavailable for further registration.  Parents will receive an automated confirmation email informing them of their child being accepted into the camp or placed on the waitlist.
