Team Sports for Beginners is a fun and engaging introduction to team-based athletics for middle school students. Designed for beginners, this program focuses on fundamental skills, and teamwork, across a variety of sports, such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, and flag football. Students will learn basic rules, techniques, and strategies through interactive drills and friendly games. The emphasis is on participation, confidence-building, and cooperation rather than competition. Teachers provide supportive guidance, ensuring that every student, regardless of skill level, feels included and encouraged.
For a science project on "Girls in Science," the students will investigate the historical contributions of female scientists, the gender gap that exists today in STEM fields, that encourages girls' interest in science careers. A specific project idea that I will introduce is building a presentation highlighting female scientists in specific fields like medicine or astronomy. All students are welcome to attend, regardless of gender.
