Do you love reading manga or watching cartoons? In this exciting one-week camp, we’ll explore the world of manga, comics, and animated storytelling! Each day, we’ll dive into reading and discussing age-appropriate manga, learn to draw manga-style characters and expressions, and create our own comic strips. Campers will develop their artistic skills, bring their ideas to life, and even design their own characters and stories. By the end of the week, students will have a collection of their original artwork and a deeper appreciation for the creativity behind their favorite stories. Whether you’re new to drawing or already an experienced artist, this camp is perfect for any elementary student who loves to read, draw, and let their imagination soar. Join us for a fun-filled week of creativity, inspiration, and storytelling!

Curious about Coding? Learn to code a game with Scratch! LIMITED

**THIS CAMP REQUIRES STUDENTS TO LOG INTO COMPUTERS ON THE BPS NETWORK. ONLY BPS STUDENTS MAY LOG INTO THE NETWORK. THIS CAMP IS ONLY OPEN TO BPS STUDENTS DUE TO THE LIMITATIONS OF REQUIRING LOGIN CREDENTIALS**
Have fun and learn how to code with Scratch! Scratch is an easy to learn visual coding language that teaches fundamental programming concepts, logical thinking, problem-solving, and a new platform to express creativity! This is an introductory session for students with little or no experience with Scratch. During this session, students will gain a beginning understanding of how to use Scratch and how to code their own working game! This session is structured around student-centered learning with collaborative projects and exploration. Students will interact with their peers and the instructor to complete group activities and learn to use Scratch successfully. Students should be comfortable using a keyboard, touchscreen, and mouse to read and follow instructions.

Build your own LEGO robot rover and code it to meet the challenges! LEGO SPIKE Prime is an exciting, hands-on robotics kit designed to introduce children to coding, engineering, and problem-solving in a fun and engaging way. It combines LEGO building with simple programming using a block-based coding system (Scratch).

Team Titans: Outdoor Games and Challenges Adventure FILLING

Get ready for an action-packed week of fun, teamwork, and outdoor challenges! In Team Titans, campers will work together to tackle obstacle courses, relay races, and scavenger hunts that build problem-solving skills and confidence. Each day focuses on developing teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship through exciting group games like tug-of-war, freeze tag, and water bucket relays.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Campers will unleash their creativity by designing team flags, crafting mini catapults, and decorating their own sports jerseys. On the final day, participants will celebrate their achievements by creating custom medals and trophies to take home.
This camp is perfect for energetic kids who love adventure, making new friends, and working as a team.
