Explore the world of acrylic pouring! Ms. Yancey will teach you at least 2 pouring techniques per day. You will also learn how to create a pouring medium and add it to acrylic paint to use on your work each day. Students will pour on canvases, 3D animals, and ornaments. We will also explore creations made from acrylic skins (jewelry, and collages). At the end of session, you will have over 15 original pieces of artwork to display at home!
During this week long workshop rising Seniors will have the opportunity to build their college list, come up with some ideas for a major, create their Common App accounts, write their personal essays, create their activities list, make an academic resume, and work on any supplemental essays that they may need for their college applications. Mrs. Friday will walk them step-by-step through all they need to know to be able to put their best selves forward on their applications and show colleges who our students really are.

Get your creativity on! We will be exploring the use of permanent and heat transfer vinyl onto a variety of surfaces. As we progress into our time together, we will navigate into the realm of sublimation and use of personal designs onto permanent keepsakes such as mugs, tumblers and more. Finally, we will use all of this to extend our work into the field of engraving. This is a course that will get your creative juices flowing and allow you to produce personal masterpieces in the form of t-shirts, tote bags, cups, mugs, tumblers, wood art, keychains and more.

Let’s Fly Drones! Join Ms. Santana for Drones In School. Beginner to Advanced ability levels. No experience needed. Students will fly USA-made EMAX Tiny Hawk drones practicing virtually and physically. Students will study and receive the recreational TRUST drone license guaranteed with 100% pass rate! Ages 16+ are eligible to study for the Part 107 license to accept jobs as a drone operator. Outside examination is required. Each student will choose a job role: Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Drone Technician, Design Engineer, Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator. They will form teams and produce a portfolio showcasing their own drone companies. Students must follow safety and class procedures outlined with their license. Gates will be set up and students will practice to fly over, under and around them. Purchase of the EMAX Tiny Hawk drone is suggested, but not necessary. Limited drones provided. A summer spent at a pool splashing and enjoying the weather with friends. This will be about fun whether it is playing pool games or practicing boating skills in the pool. It is fun and relaxing and a wonderful way to spend a week getting to meet new people and learn new ways to enjoy being in the water. Participants need to bring at least one towel, plenty of sunscreen, a water bottle, snacks and an attitude ready for fun and adventure. A one-piece swimsuit is required for females and rash guards are encouraged.
Students will learn basic to intermediate guitar skills as well as guitar care, music history, use of vinyl records, and an introduction to digital recording.

World cultures are alive and hands-on through the learning of authentic food, with meaningful and relevant facts. We will be using food recipes from Spanish-speaking countries all over the world. This will enlighten students about the Hispanic culture and interest them about the origin of different cultural foods, and ingredients while indulging and savoring their creations.
**PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 15 YEARS OLD** This week is an opportunity for students that are at least 15 years old to go through the lifeguard certification course which incudes CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aide certification. Participants will need to bring their own towel, hat, fanny pack and CPR mask, a whistle and gloves will be provided. Females are required to wear a one-piece suit. Certification is not guaranteed as students will be required to pass the written test with a minimum of 80% and 100% on the water skills test.

This week provides participants with the opportunity to learn how to be an effective swim instructor assistant. Participants will use their skills to assist in the other three aquatic enrichment programs to earn volunteer hours. Each participant will have the opportunity to become certified as a, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Participants will need a towel, swimsuit (it is required for females to wear a one piece suit), sunscreen, water bottle, hat and sunglasses.
This week will focus on enhancing the competitive stroke technique along with starts and turns for each participant through drills and video review. This is an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming high school season or be more efficient in creating a fitness program. It is required that female participants wear a one-piece suit. Participants need to bring a towel, goggles, sunscreen, water bottle and snacks. A swim cap will be provided to each participant.
Tennis is a lifelong sport than can offer a fun and entertaining way to be active. In this course we will spend a portion of each day developing new tennis skills and strategy, singles and doubles matches, as well as team building competitions.
This camp is designed for students with no prior band instrument experience. Students will have the opportunity to try the flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion. Students will go through instrument testing stations to determine which instrument would be the best fit for them. They will be given an opportunity to choose an instrument to focus on for the remainder of camp and school instruments will be provided for use throughout the camp. Students will learn to create a sound on the mouthpiece, assemble the instrument, care for the instrument and begin to play pieces. We will also spend time playing team building games and teaching the students rhythms and pulse through fun music games!
Welcome to Broadway on the Beach! This theatre camp is geared for students who are interested in learning all of the elements of live performance. Participants will explore the process of developing “triple threat” skills of singing, dance, and theater (along with some improv thrown your way!) We’ll cover auditions, rehearsals and musical theatre techniques with mentorship from experienced performers, directors, choreographers. No prior theatre experience is required. Our Beach-themed Musical Theater will help you develop this story by expanding your vocal technique, character development, dance, and stage presence.
